From the news front of the Hindi Film Industry, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be honoured by Karnataka chief minister B. S. Yeddyurappa at the second Vishwa Kannada Sammelan, to be held on March 11 in Belgaum.
The Actress from the Hindi Film Industry will be at the inauguration of the three day celebrations.
The Bachchan bahu will be honoured for her contribution as well as achievement in the arts and culture segment in India and the world over.
The basic motive of the Vishwa Kannada Sammelan is to showcase the developments achieved by the state in the field of agriculture, irrigation, information and technology, biotechnology, industry and arts and culture.
Several others will also be honoured, such as N. R. Narayana Murthy, founder of Infosys Technologies.
